Coastal Patrol Broken Bay is
now known as
Marine Rescue Broken Bay
Marine Rescue "Shoreline Supporters"
"Shoreline" is
Marine Rescue's
classification for people who wish to
support the vital work
carried out by the dedicated volunteers but who
do not have the
opportunity to contribute their time to this service.
For a yearly subscription of
just $36 for a single supporter, or $50 for a
family, you will
be helping to ensure that the Marine Rescue's Lifeboats
are always ready
when they are needed.
There are Marine Rescue Lifeboat
stations along the entire coastline of
NSW and Marine Rescue NSW depends largely on voluntary
contributions to keep the
Lifeboats afloat. It costs the Broken Bay
Unit alone about
$1000 a week to run and maintain its Base and
Lifeboats.
Marine Rescue NSW is regularly called
upon to assist the Water Police,
NSW Maritime Authority, SES,
Royal Australian Navy and Royal
Australian Army.
In addition to search, rescue
and education activities, Marine Rescue
provides rescue
crews, safety boats and expertise in crowd
control to assist in
the running of special events such as the Sydney-to-
Hobart yacht
race, New Year celebrations and many other events of
this type.
How you will benefit
with "Shoreline"
-
The satisfaction that comes
from knowing you are helping ensure volunteer Lifeboat crews
are there when they are needed.
-
Magazine - You receive a
complimentary copy of the Marine Rescue's magazine keeping you
up-to-date with the latest news and views.
-
As a "Shoreline Supporter"
you will receive a free car sticker for you to 'fly the
flag' for our Lifeboat crews everywhere you go.
As a responsible citizen, you
will, hopefully, never need to call on the
services of the Marine Rescue
Lifeboat crews but, if you ever did find
yourself in trouble at
sea, you'd be very glad to see them.
