NAVIGATION
(ELEMENTARY)
This course includes an introduction to
navigation containing longitude
and latitude; instruments required by a navigator, magnetic and true
directions, fixing a position, and tracks and courses.
NAVIGATION (COASTAL)
Any safe off-shore voyage requires a
passage plan. To achieve this,
the navigator will need intimate knowledge of tides, magnetic compass
adjustment, chart theory, and practical navigation. This course will be
comprises of all of these elements and expand upon the use of
electronic navigation equipment such as GPS and Radar.
